Hemingways Eden Residence, nestled in Nairobi's Karen-Langata area near the Giraffe Sanctuary, was originally built in 1992 as a family home and later converted into a boutique residence and art gallery. Managed by Hemingways Collection since 2022, it offers nine rooms, including garden lofts and a studio with a living area.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children under 12 years old unless the entire property or the Main House is booked exclusively.
The Deck
With stunning views of a serene lake and the Giraffe Sanctuary forest, the hotel’s main restaurant and bar is open to both guests and external visitors by reservation only. For the comfort of the environment, swimming is not allowed, and a smart casual dress code is enforced.
Main Restaurant & Bar
The Deck offers a laid-back à la carte dining experience, available to guests and external visitors with prior reservations.
Chef’s Table
Subject to availability, guests can book a private live cooking and dining experience in the hotel’s main kitchen, available for groups by advance reservation.
Private Dining
Exclusive private dining is available for guests who book the Main House and/or Tonio’s Studio.
Master Bedroom
Features a super king-size bed, daybed, walk-in wardrobe, private veranda with forest views, and an en-suite with a large shower and separate bathtub. Cannot be set up as a twin.
Bedroom 2
Includes a king-size bed, en-suite with bathtub, overhead shower, and tree canopy views. Cannot be set up as a twin.
Bedroom 3
A private suite with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a rain shower, offering tree canopy views. Cannot be set up as a twin.
Studio Lofts 1, 2 & 3
These open-plan lofts feature a king-size bed, en-suite with a shower, and a living area upstairs with treetop views. Can be converted into twins.
Garden View
Features a king-size bed, en-suite with rain shower, separate bathtub, and views of the kitchen garden. Cannot be set up as a twin.
Forest View Room
Includes a king-size bed, en-suite with rain shower, separate bathtub, and forest views. Cannot be set up as a twin.
Artist Residence - Cottage
An open-plan cottage with a king-size bed (convertible to twins), en-suite bathroom, and kitchen garden views. Available for long-term rentals, including utilities and WiFi.

Denise from Safari.com was extremely helpful. She responded promptly, provided good advice on safari lodgings options and worked up a couple of itinerary options to suit our budget. Denise also organised flights and transfers very quickly so that we could finalize our booking in a short time. Much appreciated.

Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
Pascal John at Safari.com guided me on different safari lodges (experience, rating), and most importantly knew about specials (buy 3 nights, get 4th for free) which allowed my family to secure a 5-star location at a more reasonable rate. Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
