Leroo La Tau is a luxurious lodge nestled on the western bank of the Boteti River which derives flow from the world-renowned Okavango Delta. The eastern bank of the Boteti River forms the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park - one of the largest salt flats in the world. The lodge's river setting affords guests an incredible safari experience with an abundance of wildlife frequently visiting the river for a drink.
Children over the age of 6 years are welcome at the lodge.
Families with children aged 6 - 11 years will be required to book private activities at an additional cost.
There are no family units available therefore one child under the age of 12 years can share with 2 adults (and a separate camper bed will be placed in the tent)
Leroo La Tau boasts twelve luxurious thatched and Glass-fronted Suites that have been built on raised decks. Each suite features an en-suite bathroom with double vanities and shower, bathrobes, fan, writing desk, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, flashlight, in-room safe, umbrella, and a patio with loungers.
The lodge facilities include a lounge area, dining area, bar, library and swimming pool. There is also a game viewing hide built into the bank of the river and offers unrivaled views.
The lodge offers guided day and night game drives. Depending on the water level of the Boteti River, boat activities are also provided. Optional cultural excursions can be arranged to Khumaga Village, Nxai Pan and Baines Boababs (three-night stay only), as can guided nature walks which afford an up-close encounter with the fauna, flora and smaller wondrous creatures of the bush.
Leroo La Tau translates as ‘lion’s paw’ but, although the surrounding area features abundant Lion, Zebra and Wildebeest, it also boasts Chobe Bushbuck, Leopard, Cheetah, Brown and Spotted Hyena, Impala, Kudu, Jackal, Porcupine, Genet and Caracal, to name but a few.
Leroo La Tau is ideal for solo explorers, couples and families looking for a rewarding safari experience.

Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
Pascal John at Safari.com guided me on different safari lodges (experience, rating), and most importantly knew about specials (buy 3 nights, get 4th for free) which allowed my family to secure a 5-star location at a more reasonable rate. Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
