It is unheard of to experience a private safari in the Masai Mara or Serengeti reserves but Naboisho Camp is the exception. Set in the two hundred and ten square kilometer Mara Naboisho Conservancy in the Greater Masai Mara, Naboisha Camp offers an exclusive safari experience.
Naboisho Camp is an eco-friendly camp, operating on solar powered energy to minimize the impact on the environment.
With just nine spacious Tented Suites, Naboisho is an intimate and elegant safari camp that offers a luxurious wilderness experience. Each suite offers comfortable king-sized beds (twin beds are available), en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, robes, in-room safes, tea and coffee making facilities, and a private veranda complete with a day bed. Two of the suites are equipped to cater for families.
The camp facilities include a thatched lounge, bar and dining room that overlook a nearby waterhole that is frequently visited by resident game.
Delicious home-cooked meals are usually enjoyed communally at the camp. Chefs bake fresh bread, biscuits and muffins daily for guests to enjoy. Breakfast is served buffet style with a choice of continental or full English breakfasts. Lunches are light and served buffet-style in camp. Alternatively, you can ask for a picnic breakfast or lunch so you can maximize your time in the bush. Tea and cake are served in the late afternoon as a camp tradition, and dinner is a leisurely three-course silver service or plated affair.
A true wildlife haven, the Mara Naboisho Conservancy has a high density of game with a large number of big cats residing in the area. Naboisho has one of the highest lion densities in the world with over 100 lions living in the conservancy. There is also an impressive number of elephant, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra living in the region with regular sightings of the endangered African wild dog. A bird lovers paradise, Naboisho Conservancy is home to 266 bird species.
In addition to the abundance of resident game, the Mara Naboisho Conservancy also serves as a vital migration corridor for the little-known Loita Migration, which sees up to 5 000 wildebeest and 1 000 zebras move through the area annually from the Mara Reserve to the Loita Plains in the east.
Activities offered at the camp include twice-daily game drives, walking safaris, bush picnics, cultural and community visits, hot air balloon safaris, horse riding and fly camping. Game drives in Naboisho are conducted in either seven-seater open game-viewing vehicles or five-seater closed vehicles and led by a team of professional guides. As the conservancy is privately owned, Naboisho is able to offer off-road game drives and night drives.
Families traveling with children can rest assured that they will be taken care of and entertained with a children's programme that includes bush skills, animal tracking, local folklore and guided bush walks. Kids also get the chance to play traditional games and visit a nearby community or school to learn more about the customs of East Africa.
Naboisho Camp is ideal for solo explorers, couples and families looking for an exclusive safari adventure.

Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
Pascal John at Safari.com guided me on different safari lodges (experience, rating), and most importantly knew about specials (buy 3 nights, get 4th for free) which allowed my family to secure a 5-star location at a more reasonable rate. Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
