The award-winning Sayari Camp is based in the north of Serengeti National Park, with a prime location to witness thousands of wildebeest crash across the Mara River as part of their Great Migration.
The classic Sayari Camp boasts fifteen tented suites, each built from canvas, sand, stone, and mahogany - blending in seemingly with the natural surroundings.
Each Luxury Tented Suite has a king-sized bed (twin beds available), en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and separate bathtubs that overlook the Northern Serengeti plains, as do the beautiful private verandas that extend from each suite.
Sayari has been carefully designed to offer various relaxation areas for guests to enjoy, and the camp prides itself on the personalized service it provides for guests. There are several indoor and outdoor dining areas to enjoy a sumptuous meal, a library with a cozy fireplace, and a rim-flow swimming pool that offers impressive views of the Serengeti and the abundance of wildlife that inhabit the plains.
Meals at Sayari are wholesome with the camp sourcing most of their fresh produce from local farms in Nyamakendo, Mbalibali and Merenga villages as part of Asilia’s Taste of Serengeti project.
Breakfasts can be enjoyed in camp or out in the bush and include continental or full English breakfast options. Lunches are light buffets and dinners are three-course plated meals. If you are doing a full-day safari, you have the option to enjoy your lunch in the bush.
From July to November, you can expect to see large herds of wildebeest gathering on the banks of the Mara River as they brave up to cross the crocodile-infested river as they journey north. The crossings are not without action as hungry predators wait on the other side for an opportunity to strike. This spectacle is dramatic as the wildebeest thunder across in their millions - all of which is seen at Sayari Camp.
During the months of December and March, the migration moves south leaving the Northern Serengeti which then offers exclusivity and large herds of plains game which are closely followed by lion and cheetah that reside in the area. Leopards tend to hang back in the lush riverine forest, whilst sightings of elephant and rhino are common. The arrival of the European migrant birds increases the bird population to over 500 species, making this a truly spectacular time to visit if you are a keen birder.
Activities offered at the camp include twice daily open vehicle game drives, bush walks, bush breakfasts, picnics, star-lit dinners, cultural & community visits and hot air ballooning.
Sayari Camp is ideal for solo explorers, couples and families looking for an exclusive safari experience.

Pascal John at Safari.com guided me on different safari lodges (experience, rating), and most importantly knew about specials (buy 3 nights, get 4th for free) which allowed my family to secure a 5-star location at a more reasonable rate. Great advice, responsive and knowledgeable!
