Day 1: Arrival at Sabi Sand

Your adventure begins with a scheduled flight from Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.

Upon arrival, a friendly guide will meet you for a transfer to Idube Safari Lodge, set within the renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The drive to the lodge is a scenic one, taking about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

After checking in, you will have time to relax and settle into your luxurious chalet. In the late afternoon, you’ll embark on your first game drive through the rich landscapes of Sabi Sand, famous for its Big 5 sightings. After the drive, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner under the African sky, where you’ll spend your first night surrounded by nature.

Day 2: Exploring Sabi Sand's Wildlife

On your second day, wake up early for a morning game drive. This is the best time to spot wildlife, as the animals are most active during the cooler hours.

After the drive, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. The rest of the morning is at your leisure, allowing you to relax by the pool, indulge in a spa treatment, or explore the lodge’s beautiful surroundings. In the late afternoon, you'll head out on another game drive, where you'll have the chance to see different animals as they become more active in the evening.

As the sun sets, enjoy a sundowner, soaking in the stunning landscape. Return to Idube Safari Lodge for a gourmet dinner, ending the day with a peaceful evening in the African wilderness.

Day 3: The Idube Safari Experience

Start your third day with another early morning game drive, delving deeper into Sabi Sand's diverse habitats. After the drive, return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast. The remainder of the morning is yours to spend as you wish—perhaps with a spa treatment, a nature walk, or simply unwinding in your luxurious chalet.

In the afternoon, you can enjoy the lodge's facilities, such as the pool or fitness center. As the day draws to a close, embark on one last evening game drive in Sabi Sand, offering another chance to encounter the area's remarkable wildlife. Conclude your day with a special dinner back at the lodge, reflecting on the incredible experiences of your stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kruger National Park

On the fourth day, begin with a final game drive in Sabi Sand, followed by a delicious breakfast. Before you pack your belongings and prepare for the transfer to Kruger National Park.

Mid-morning, you'll depart from Idube Safari Lodge and enjoy a scenic drive to Lukimbi Safari Lodge, located in the southern part of Kruger National Park. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes.

Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome and a refreshing lunch. Settle in and relax before heading out on your first game drive in Kruger National Park in the late afternoon. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife, offering a new perspective on your safari adventure. After the game drive, return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and a peaceful night in the heart of the African bush.

Day 5: Kruger Park Safari Experience

Your fifth day begins with an early morning wake-up to embark on an exciting game drive through Kruger National Park. This time of day is ideal for wildlife sightings, as the animals are most active in the early hours. After the drive, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

The rest of the morning is yours to enjoy at your leisure—whether relaxing by the pool, indulging in a spa treatment or simply soaking in the stunning surroundings. In the afternoon, you can explore more of the lodge's amenities or participate in an optional guided bush walk. As evening approaches, embark on another game drive, with the possibility of spotting more of the park's iconic wildlife. Return to Lukimbi Safari Lodge for dinner, capping off the day with a serene evening under the stars.

Day 6: Final Day in Kruger National Park

On your final day, start with one last early morning game drive in Kruger National Park, making the most of your remaining time in the wild. After the drive, return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast.

The rest of the morning is perfect for a private spa treatment or simply relaxing around the lodge, reflecting on your safari experience. In the afternoon, enjoy your final moments in the park, whether through a guided walk, a refreshing swim, or quiet time on your private deck. As the sun begins to set, embark on one last evening game drive, savouring the sights and sounds of the bush.

End your day with a special farewell dinner at the lodge, celebrating the unforgettable wildlife encounters and adventures you’ve had during your stay.

Day 7: Departure and Farewell

Start your last day with one final game drive at dawn, followed by a hearty breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, pack up and prepare for your transfer back to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. You will be driven to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Johannesburg, concluding your unforgettable 7-day safari adventure.
