This 9-day tour is an exploration of one of Africa's most renowned safari destinations and a gorgeous tropical beach in Mozambique.
Your journey begins in Kruger National Park where one is afforded the opportunity of experiencing open vehicle game drives experience that brings you up-close encounters with the famous Big 5.
Mjejane River Lodge is the ideal place to experience a safari with its location within the Mjejane Game Reserve which incorporates the Kruger National Park. Perched on the banks of the Crocodile River and boasting thousands of acres of wilderness, Mjejane is your retreat for the next three days as you explore the bushveld on exhilarating game drives.
You then travel onwards to the magical coast of Mozambique. With its warm turquoise waters and white sandy beaches, Mozambique is the perfect location to relax and sink your toes in the sand or take part in a number of beach and water activities offered at Machangulo Beach Lodge. It is the perfect haven for guests looking for exclusivity, relaxation, and a little bit of adventure.
From off-road game drives to diving amongst pristine coral reefs, this tour is ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking an adventure.
This morning you arrive at Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport where you will connect with a scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and transfer by road to your lodge. Depending on your time of arrival, you may venture out on your first-afternoon game drive in the private reserve of Mjejane. Be sure to have your camera ready as your ranger brings you up-close to the animals. Enjoy your first African sunset beside the river before heading back to the lodge for a scrumptious dinner.
The following days will start off with early morning game drives in the Kruger National Park as you search for the Big 5. On your return, you will sit down to enjoy brunch and then have some time to relax before heading out on an afternoon game drive in the Mjejane Game Reserve. Savor boma dinners, starlit skies, and breath-taking views from your private patio which overlooks the Crocodile River.

This morning you bid farewell to the African bush as you road transfer to Machangulo Beach Lodge which is an approximate 3 to 4-hour journey. On your arrival, you are welcomed by the friendly staff of Machangulo as you begin your vacation in a tropical paradise. Enjoy your favorite beverage whilst you watch the sunset over the ocean and later delight in some spectacular Mozambiquean cuisine.
The next few days are yours to explore the island or to do absolutely nothing. Should you feel a little adventurous, be sure to explore the ocean with the number of activities on offer at the lodge. A visit to Inhaca Island and Santa Maria is highly recommended.

After one final walk along the white sandy beach and breakfast, you bid farewell to Mozambique as you transfer by boat to Maputo Marina and then road transfer to Maputo Airport, or alternatively transfer by road directly from the lodge to the airport. On arrival, you will check in for your scheduled flight back to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport.

Outstanding Experience! (Cape Town, Sabi Sands, Vic Falls)
After attempting to book this trip myself (a couple coming from the US), I gave up and reached out to Sara from Safari.com. I told Sara what I was thinking and by the next day she had created several wonderful itineraries! Based on her suggestions, we personalized the itineraries and within 7 days I was booked and all set!! Sara was available at all times (before, during, and after the trip). We are currently heading home and we are so happy with all the bookings Sara created for us! Everything went flawlessly. Her 3rd parties for tours and transfers were perfect (always early, professional, knowledgeable, and kind). The hotel acknowledged our anniversary thanks to Sara. We stayed at the Victoria & Alfred hotel in Cape Town, then off to Dulini Moya in Sabi Sands, and finally Victoria Falls Island Treehouse in Zimbabwe. I highly recommend all of them. Sara is the best
Sara is the best! Believe me we had tons of questions about our upcoming safari and all were dealt with quickly and with detail and graciousness by Sara. Considering the 7 hr time difference, response time was as if she lived next door! Maybe she doesn't sleep. Sara's knowledge is also outstanding. We never received an "I don't know but will get back to you" response. We are so looking forward to our trip especially knowing that Sara is always available to help us out!
