Day 1: Arrival in South Africa

Flight: Johannesburg (JNB) to Hoedspruit (HDS)

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your representative and transferred to RockFig Safari Lodge, nestled in the scenic Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Settle into your luxury suite and unwind in the elegant atmosphere of RockFig, with its welcoming indoor spaces, open-plan kitchen, and cozy lounge centered around a grand fireplace. Enjoy your first evening with a delicious meal featuring locally sourced ingredients, and take in the ambiance of the bushveld.

Days 2-4: Safari Adventure at RockFig Safari Lodge

Spend the next three days on a series of thrilling game drives and bush walks, led by experienced guides. RockFig’s intimate setting, with just six chalet-style suites, provides an exclusive and personalized safari experience. Between drives, relax by the pool deck overlooking a nearby waterhole, or take a dip in the pool to refresh. Indulge in romantic candlelit dinners on your private verandah or gather around the boma under a star-lit sky, with the sounds of the African bush adding to the ambience. During the winter, enjoy the cosy indoor lounge and the warmth of the fireplace.

Each day’s safari will deepen your connection to the Timbavati wilderness, where you may encounter the Big Five, as well as hyenas, wild dogs, and a wide variety of birdlife. Day 5: Transition from RockFig Safari Lodge to Mozambique

Transfer: RockFig to Nelspruit (MQP)  

Flight: Nelspruit (MQP) to Vilanculos (VNX)

Bid farewell to RockFig Safari Lodge as you embark on your next adventure in Mozambique. You’ll fly to Vilanculos and be transferred to Santorini Mozambique, where you’ll stay in the elegant Santorini Suite. This stunning, multi-level villa offers five sea-facing suites, each with an en-suite bathroom and private patio. In the evening, unwind with a sunset cocktail in the outdoor lounge, enjoying the breathtaking ocean views.

Days 6-8: Coastal Luxury at Santorini Mozambique

Experience the ultimate coastal retreat as you settle into the rhythm of Santorini Mozambique. Lounge by the pool or relax in the sunset sala with a cocktail, and explore the villa’s library, dining areas, and spacious walkways. One of the highlights of your stay will be a private catamaran excursion on the Aphrodite, a luxurious 38-foot vessel, where you can experience the turquoise waters of Mozambique in style.

You’ll be transferred to Vilanculos Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg, concluding your 9-day Botswana and Mozambique safari.
